Per our discussion, this is mostly focused on Mount Pleasant and Isle of Palms, with some additional areas sprinkled in.

Mount Pleasant Driving Tour

Things to Do: Late August

  1. Walk Pitt Street Bridge at sunset for panoramic harbor views

  2. Early-morning birding at Caw Caw Interpretive Center before the heat sets in

  3. Browse the Charleston Farmers Market at Marion Square (Saturdays through November)

  4. Spend an afternoon on Isle of Palms or Sullivan's Island beach

  5. Stroll Pitt Street's boutiques and stop by the Old Village pharmacy soda fountain

  6. Try a round at Pickleball Kingdom, Mount Pleasant's newest indoor courts

  7. Drive the Avenue of Oaks at Boone Hall Plantation

  8. Catch an early Eagles preseason watch party at a local sports bar (Lucky Luchador or Loggerheads on Folly) — Go Birds

  9. Shop or grab dinner at Mount Pleasant Towne Center
